Woo Ju Memorial Library (Chuang Yen Monastery) 2020 Route 301, Carmel, NY 10512
Drawing on Buddhist principles of compassion and non-harming, the talk invites reflection on how compassion can be expressed in everyday choices.
In this presentation, Rayane Laddi explores how respected Buddhist monastics, scholars, and lay teachers—including Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi, Ven. Tenzin Palmo, Ven. Master Xianshu, Dr. Janet Gyatso, Dr. Geoffrey Barstow, Tara Brach, David Loy, and others in the All Beings Coalition—are bringing Buddhist teachings into today’s conversation about the treatment of farmed animals.
Whether you are a longtime practitioner or simply interested in Buddhist perspectives on compassion and our relationship with animals, all are welcome.
