DVA Mindfulness & Meditation Sangha for Animal Activists

Join DVA Board member Bhante Sathi on Sunday, May 29th at 9:00 am pacific, for a virtual mindfulness and meditation Sangha for animal activists. You do not need to be an activist to attend. Anyone who cares about animals is welcome to join us.

Bhante Sathi is a DVA Board member, Co-Coordinator of DVA’s Sri Lanka Project, and Sri Lankan-American monk who teaches Buddhist monastics around the world.

Together we will practice:

  • Mindfulness, knowing what our experience is in the present moment.
  • Metta Loving Kindness and compassion meditation for ourselves and for the animals who suffer terribly on the way to the plates of those who eat them.
  • Vipassana meditation. The primary meditation technique taught by the Buddha involves paying attention to present moment experiences that lead to clarity, relaxation, and coming into harmony with our experiences.

Registration is required. To sign up, please visit tinyurl.com/dva-sangha-529.

We are looking forward to seeing you there.
